Depending on the type of artistic paint and the desired decorative effect, choose the appropriate application method, such as scraping, spraying, rolling, roughening, or rubbing.
Applying the Artistic Paint
Scraping: Use a scraper or squeegee to evenly apply the artistic paint to the wall. By controlling the angle and pressure of the scraper, as well as the direction and thickness of the scraping, you can create different textures and effects, such as marble or leather.
Spraying: Use a spray gun to evenly apply the artistic paint to the wall. By adjusting the nozzle size, pressure, and spray distance, you can control the atomization and thickness of the paint. This can be used to create a uniform, delicate texture or unique patterned effects.
Rolling: Dip a roller into the artistic paint and roll it onto the wall. By choosing rollers with different textures or using different rolling techniques, such as cross-rolling, vertical rolling, or horizontal rolling, you can create different textures, such as orange peel or wavy patterns.
Roughening: Use a special roughening tool to apply artistic paint and roughen the wall. Depending on the shape of the roughening tool, the force and direction of the roughening, you can create a fine, hair-like texture of varying lengths and thicknesses, enhancing the wall's three-dimensionality and texture.
Rubbing: Apply a suitable amount of color paste or a special rubbing agent to the already applied artistic paint using a rubbing cloth or sponge. Rub the rubbing agent onto the wall. By controlling the force and area of rubbing, you can create unique effects such as color gradients and light and dark contrasts.
Topcoat Application
Preparing the Topcoat: Stir and dilute the topcoat according to the product instructions to ensure its performance and application.
Applying a topcoat: After the artistic paint is completely dry, use a roller or spray gun to evenly apply a topcoat to enhance the wall's gloss, scrub resistance, and abrasion resistance, making the wall more beautiful and durable. Typically, one to two coats of topcoat are applied, leaving approximately 24 hours between each coat.
Post-Curation
Product Protection: After application, protect the wall from impact, scratches, and contamination before it is completely dry and cured.
Drying and Curing: Allow the wall to fully dry and cure in a natural environment. This typically takes 3 to 7 days, depending on the characteristics of the artistic paint and the application environment. During this drying and curing period, maintain good ventilation and avoid drastic changes in temperature and humidity.
The skill level and experience of the application staff significantly influence the application results of artistic paint. During application, strictly follow the product instructions and construction specifications to ensure the desired decorative effect.
