1. Construction Preparation and Tools
Check the condition of the ground base and treat it accordingly. Required tools include: electric mixer, mixing bucket, measuring cup, toothed scraper, defoaming roller, spiked shoes, double-sided tape, isolation tape, measuring tape, ink fountain, etc.
2. Construction Steps
● Base Preparation:
The base should be solid, dust-free, free of visible water, sharp corners, and voids. Apply Huasha Multifunctional Primer PMC-500 as a sealant. To ensure a sealed finish, apply the primer twice. After the primer has dried thoroughly, apply the self-leveling mortar.
● Self-Leveling Mortar Preparation:
The amount of water to add is specified in the certificate of conformity. First, add water to the mixing bucket. Then, gradually add the powder while stirring. Use an electric mixer to mix for 1-2 minutes until uniform and free of lumps. Use the prepared self-leveling mortar within half an hour.
●Construction Process:
Apply the mixed slurry from the inside out onto the surface after the primer has dried, using a toothed scraper for auxiliary spreading and a defoaming roller for continuous defoaming. Self-leveling mortar application should be continuous, and defoaming should be completed within 15 minutes after spreading. When the width of the construction surface exceeds 6-8 meters, construction should be divided into sections. Before installing the divider, mark the position. After removing the divider, protect the hardened boundary to prevent new material from flowing onto the hardened surface.
3. Curing and Surface Laying
During construction and for two days after completion, avoid drafts, partial sun exposure, and other destabilizing factors. Maintain stable temperature and humidity in the construction environment, with the relative humidity below 95%. If any other abnormal factors occur, please contact Huasha technicians immediately.
At a normal room temperature of approximately 20°C, the surface can be walked on approximately 2-4 hours after construction is completed. Two days later, PVC laying, tile laying, and self-leveling surface treatments can be carried out. Carpeting and wooden flooring can be installed at the site's discretion, depending on humidity conditions.
